HISTORY
museSalon begin in Brooklyn, New York with a group of artists who met in “salons.”
Our meetings created a healthy environment for dialogue that caused us to begin to share resources, ideas and talents that became useful to our neighborhoods, families and local businesses.
Founder, Malesha Taylor moved to San Diego, CA where she established the organization more formally, but continued to connect artists across disciplines in bold and catalytic events that brought together diverse audiences and evoked positive social change. As the organization expanded, museSalon was called upon to provide consulting services for diverse audience development, youth programming and bridge together civic engagement with culture.
To date, museSalon has supported hundreds of artists, arts organizations and public-serving agencies with solutions, productions and services for social change and cultural enrichment.
